I am not an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of California, and I may not give legal advice about immigration or any other legal matter, or accept fees for legal advice. I cannot explain or interpret the contents of any document, instruct you on how to complete a document, or direct you on the advisability of signing a particular document.

Appointments and deposits

All services are by appointment. A $25 deposit confirms most appointments and is applied to your total; for some services the deposit is arranged by phone. Correctional facility signings are paid in full before the visit, have no deposit option, and are non-refundable. Pricing is quoted before any work is booked.

Travel and facility visits

Travel fees are non-refundable once the trip is made. For correctional facility signings, the visit occurs whether or not the facility produces the signer. Lockdowns, transfers, medical holds, and count times are outside my control. This is stated before you book and it does not change afterward.

When a notarization cannot proceed

California law requires me to decline a notarization if the signer cannot be identified, does not appear to understand what they are signing, is not signing willingly, or is not physically present. Fees for travel and time already spent remain payable in those circumstances.

Document preparation

Documents must be complete before the appointment, with every blank filled in except the signature. I cannot draft, complete, correct, or advise on the content of any document.

Government and third-party fees

State, federal, county, and consular fees are set by those agencies, billed at cost, and subject to change without notice. Processing times quoted are estimates based on current agency performance and are not guarantees.
